About Lostwithiel
Lostwithiel is a civil parish and ancient Stannary town in Southeast Cornwall, established in the early 12th century when Norman Lords built Restormel Castle, situated above the town overlooking the River Fowey valley. During the 14th century Lostwithiel was the capital of Cornwall.
