About Bodmin
Bodmin is a town and civil parish in Cornwall situated south-west of Bodmin Moor, and formerly the County Town of Cornwall. Bodmin is one of the oldest towns in Cornwall, with St Petroc founding a monastery in the area in the 7th century.

The popular cycle route the Camel Trail begins in Bodmin, ending up at Padstow via Wadebridge. There are several tourist attractions in the area including Bodmin and Wenford railway station, Bodmin Jail and National Trust site Lanhydrock House. There are many primary schools, a secondary school and Callywith College within the town. Bodmin Parkway is located a few miles outside of the town centre, which is a mainline station between Penzance and Paddington.
